Substitute Teacher with Head Start

Become a Substitute Teacher for Head Start. Salt Lake Head Start has been around for over 50 years.

Substitute teachers assists the teaching staff in supervising children ages 3-5 and other duties in the classroom. This is an on-call position. 32 different locations in Salt Lake County. 401K eligible. $10.89/hour

High School Diploma preferred. One year of related experience preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to use good judgment
• Accept responsibility for children under his/her care.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work with a diverse population including low income families.
• Knowledge of age and developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood development
• Correct use of English, both verbal and in writing
• Previous knowledge of Head Start preferred
• Ability to travel to designated site(s) punctually and timely
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
