• Rockville, MarylandThe Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) contract provides in-person assisters with technical support services that enhance assisters’ knowledge and skills so they can facilitate enrollment in insurance coverage, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through the Affordable Care Act of 2010. These support services include, but are not limited to: the development and provision of assister certification and supplemental trainings, in person assister email help desk support, the development and provision of assister continuing education programs, the maintenance of assister email inbox operations, certified application counselor (CAC) application processing, the development and implementation of an inquiry response and tracking system, and the provision of technical support to the in-person assister community. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) believes these services are critical to improving resources and support available to in-person assisters as they work with consumers, especially those with complex eligibility cases or in difficult-to-enroll populations.
GDIT is seeking a highly talented Instructional Designer/Writer to join our Operations and IT teams. The professional in this role reports to the IT Manager and will develop written materials in support of IT implementations, user manuals, job aids, and other educational content. This career opportunity is located in Rockville, Maryland with the option for some telework. This is an excellent career move to demonstrate industry best practices in instructional writing and design.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Develop written documentation in support of IT implementations, including on-screen instructions, user manuals, job aids, and other educational content for assister and back office support in Salesforce
- Collaborate directly with IT and software development teams to understand, translate, and develop documents related to Salesforce and other systems, as applicable
- Collaborate with other members of the education, training, and outreach team to develop materials and best practices for content development
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience
- Significant experience in writing and development of instructional materials
- Advanced skill set in MS Word & PowerPoint
- Previous experience in professional writing and communication
- Previous experience developing training content
