Early Childhood Educator - Assistant Teacher or Aide Job Opening

ASSISTANT TEACHER:

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist group supervisor with both long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
• Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children's development
• Maintain daily open communication with parents
• Keep accident reports
• Maintain anecdotal records
• Maintain confidentiality
• Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
• Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
• Attend in-service and staff meetings
• Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and timesheets.
• Meet all applicable licensing regulations

Type of position and report to the position of Assistant Teacher reports to the LT of their age group and the DOO of the company. The position of Assistant Teacher is a full-time salaried position with a pay range 25,000-35,000.00 a year. Assistant Teacher is entitled to Paid holidays, PTO, 50% off childcare, option for short term/long term disability and if the company has it 401K, medical and dental plans.
