We have an opening for Adjunct Instructor (History) at our Chattanooga State campus!
The role will be responsible for the following:
ChSCC is seeking Part-Time Faculty to teach day and evening, online, on ground, hybrid, dual enrollment, and/or distance-education based History classes. Part-Time Faculty are part-time temporary instructions who may teach no more than 12 credit hours per semester and are hired on a semester basis. Part-Time Faculty must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and understand and navigate technology, including learning management systems. The primary responsibility is to provide quality instruction for students. In addition to teaching, the minimum faculty responsibilities to the college include the following: preparing course materials, reporting attendance, submitting grades, and making students aware of academic resources such as writing centers and student services.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in History, or a Master’s degree in another area with 18 graduate semester hours in one specific area of History from a regionally accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous college-level teaching experience. The willingness to teach a prescribed curriculum is essential
