This opportunity is for a program coordinator to support a 5-year grant funded project focused on redesigning the clinical learning environment to foster interprofessional, team-based care and education. This entails establishing and maintaining highly effective, collaborative working relationships with various healthcare providers, administrative staff and leaders across all departments at MMC and Maine Health. The successful candidate will have high level administrative skills, including ability to work and manage detail in a fast paced, dynamic environment. This person must have highly professional and effective written and verbal communication skills. This person must also be able to be assertive and proactive while working effectively as part of a team.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Associate’s degree, plus 3-5 years of relevant administrative work, preferably in an education or health care setting or comparable relevant work experience in an administrative position, preferably in an education or health care setting.
    • Experience in a customer service oriented role within a complex, dynamic environment.
    • Experience coordinating and facilitating initiatives/activities in a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders.
    • Experience collaborating and working effectively as a member of a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make independent decisions based on sound judgment and discretion while under pressure.
    • Demonstrated high level organizational skills for planning and implementation; project management related experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to efficiently collect, organize and manage details.
    • Proficiency in and demonstrated ability to integrate, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based applications for process improvement.
