Direct Support Professionals are needed immediately to join a growing team in the greater North Providence, RI area. The ideal candidate will preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree in a social service discipline and have a minimum of 6-months experience working with in Human Services or related field. Direct Support Professionals are needed to work second shifts during the week and all shifts on weekends assisting youth with behavioral issues in a residential setting.
Responsibilities of the Residential Counselor include:
  • Assess, evaluate, interact, respond and support the needs of the program staff and residents
  • Perform all shift duties in-accordance with program protocols
  • Assume fair-share of required duties assigned by the shift-supervisor including recreational activities and daily-living support
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6-months experience working with individuals in Human Services or related field
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification at time of hire
  • Crisis de-escalation training required
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
  • Reliable transportation
