PMO Job Overview

We’re looking for a Director of PMO (Program Management Office), who ensures that business projects are executed effectively and efficiently. The PMO will oversee projects and develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards and tools. The Director of PMO is a hands-on Director responsible for direction and leadership of STANLEY Healthcare’s PMO team. Reporting to the VP Global Business Operations, The Director of PMO will manage and lead the PMO team, and lead key cross functional initiatives at STANLEY Healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains a fully integrated, cross-functional program view; balances technical and business
  • Proactively identifies challenges and barriers which pose a threat to successful completion of programs, as well as a recommended plan for correction.
  • Own the governance and roadmaps of approved technology investments for the Finance function. Ensure that it aligns with the overall corporate direction and company vision & strategy.
  • Evolve PMO processes, tools, metrics, and policies ensuring they drive productivity, quality and business success.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently to all stakeholders, delivering good news and bad news, early and often, to promote proactive actions.
  • Collaborates with the product leadership team to evaluate the requirements and deliverables that will most benefit the organization.
  • Assesses current capabilities, tools, and needs and recommends a path forward to build towards program best practices and positively impacts visibility, delivery timelines and greater predictability.
  • Designs and implements a set of metrics that allow the product organization to measure its progress across projects and the organization. This includes use of tools and dash boarding.
  • Leads and mentors a small group of program managers to ensure that projects are running efficiently and implementing best practices.
  • Provides recommendations to the product leadership team and other senior product leaders relative to alignment of priorities and resources with identified strategic and operational objectives.
  • Mentors and supports leadership in the planning, implementation and execution of key strategic programs and projects.
  • Provides training, coaching and facilitation to leadership.
  • Owns and manages the coordination of budgets including training and hiring plans to ensure the organization is tracking per plan
  • Establishes accountability standards within projects and holds all stakeholders accountable to meeting those standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years in program management roles
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Demonstrated success handling business initiatives of high complexity and risk
  • Demonstrated success handling a variety of business programs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage across cross-functional departments
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to provide strategic insight and problem solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
