Job Title: Mold Setter

Department: DMM/Production

Reports to: Production Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

• Prepare required machine, equipment, documents, labels and other required items for production process and verification of parts to quality department.
• Troubleshoot processes as needed
• Maintain production area in an organized manner in order to ensure part quality.
• Change molds based on work instructions
• Answer alarms and report any problems to Production Assistant Manager.
• Propose improvements, suggestions, and any ideas for better production to Production Assistant Manager.
• Maintain good and constant communication with all departments.
• Follow 3Q6S in all daily work.
• Assist operators’ work* between mold changes, answer machine alarms, support continuous improvement
• Any other duties as assigned

A successful Mold Setter will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must be reliable, organized, and responsible
• Ability to work in a team environment with material handlers
• Ability to read part prints (blue print)
• Basic math, writing, communication skills, and ability to use computer

Job Qualifications

• Crane operation, lifting and rigging molds.
• Ability to set process alarms as required
• Experience setting plastic injection molds for 30-500 ton presses.
• Clean and maintain mold parting lines per prescribed PM schedule
• Employee must provide own basic hand tools

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and move totes (50 lbs.) regularly

Qualified candidates will successfully complete pre-employment screening including interviews, reference checks, skill evaluations, drug screen, and background screening as applicable by law. Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
