The Department of English seeks an Instructor to teach courses in spoken and written English to international students and to evaluate their language proficiency.

Required Qualifications: at least an M.A. in English as a Second Language and/or Linguistics. Evidence of outstanding teaching in ESL. Familiarity with OPI (oral proficiency interview) technique.

Additional Qualifications Desired: prior experience teaching ESL in higher education; ITA (international teaching assistant) training; and/or knowledge of Test of Spoken English/SPEAK scoring.
