Working hours: Bargaining Unit No Work Location Warrensburg Campus Posting Date 05/06/2019 Closing Date Open Until Filled Yes Position PurposeThe English Language Institute (ELI) in the School of English and Philosophy at UCM is accepting applications by qualified individuals to enter an adjunct ELI pool for Fall 2019 to teach face-to-face classes at the Warrensburg campus. Adjunct instructors may teach ESL Reading Skills, Writing Skills, Communication Skills, Grammar Skills, Seminar in American Culture, Tutorial. Required for office hours each week, 1.25 weekly per course.
Education & Formal Training Master's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal TrainingMaster’s degree in Teaching English as a Second
Language, Master’s of Education with ESL Emphasis, or equivalent.
ESL teaching experience preferred.
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and KnowledgeUnderstanding of intercultural communication,
