The English Language Institute (ELI) in the School of English and Philosophy at UCM is accepting applications by qualified individuals to enter an adjunct ELI pool for Fall 2019 to teach face-to-face classes at the Warrensburg campus. Adjunct instructors may teach ESL Reading Skills, Writing Skills, Communication Skills, Grammar Skills, Seminar in American Culture, Tutorial. Required for office hours each week, 1.25 weekly per course.

Education & Formal Training Master's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training

Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second
Language, Master’s of Education with ESL Emphasis, or equivalent.

Computer Skills Experience

ESL teaching experience preferred.

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Understanding of intercultural communication,
knowledge of Intensive English Programs preferred.
