We are seeking a Community Inclusion Trainer to provide support necessary for people to achieve their desired lifestyles and increase levels of independence, productivity, and social/physical integration in their community
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 am- 4 pm
Salary
$11-13 per hour

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience working with persons with disabilities
- Able to communicate effectively, efficiently and accurately in spoken and written English.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Driving is required for this position. In order to be able to drive, you need to be 21 years old, maintain a UT driver’s license, and clean driving record.
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, kneel, and lift 50 pounds or one-quarter of his/her body weight
Essential Job Duties
- Assures that participant related annual goal performance and documentation is current, appropriate, and adequately meets standards.
- Effectively selects, trains, supervises and evaluates participants involved in Community Inclusion Program.
- Assures that participants are adequately trained in the performance of community activities and assures that they are always properly supervised.
- Accompanies and leads participants to community activities, ensuring engagement and safety, advocating as necessary to achieve inclusion.
- Teaches community living skills, e.g. using the bus system and public transportation, money management, shopping, and appropriate interactions in the community.
- Assists participants to advocate and negotiate for themselves and their community at work, recreation, or volunteer locations.
- Assists with financial paperwork and management related to the person’s employment.
- Assists participants to develop positive work habits, skills, and relationships.
- Completes all necessary documentation including participation in activities, medication administrative, implementation of behavior programs, etc., thoroughly and accurately.
